What to Put in Your EPK (Electronic Press Kit) in 2026
An EPK is a single page or folder that gives journalists everything they need to write about you. A good one saves an editor time, which makes a feature more likely.
The essentials
- Short bio (about 100 words) and a longer version (300 words)
- Music links for your latest release and one or two earlier highlights
- Press photos, high resolution, with credits
- Release details: title, date, genre, label or distributor, credits
- Links: website, social profiles, and contact email
Nice extras
A live video, notable press quotes, and upcoming show dates. Keep everything current, since an outdated EPK signals an inactive project.
Format tips
Host photos on Google Drive or Dropbox with sharing enabled. Avoid large attachments and passwords. Test every link in a private browser window before sending.
